JAMES CRISP Obituary

JAMES RAYMOND CRISP

September 7, 1960 – September 28, 2025

James "Jim" Raymond Crisp was born to Jack and Rosie Crisp on September 7, 1960, in Hanford, California. He graduated from Lemoore High School in 1978, proudly maintaining his "claim to fame" of successfully evading every yearbook photo.

As a young man, Jim worked alongside his father at Crisp Warehouse, where he developed both his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. A self-taught, self-made man, Jim thrived on being his own boss and went on to pursue several business ventures in the grain, walnut, and pistachio industries. One of his proudest accomplishments was owning his own train.

Jim was also deeply involved in the Kings County Farm Bureau, serving in various leadership roles, including President. His dedication to agriculture and business took him around the world - to Mexico, Italy, Aruba, Hong Kong, and Dubai - for conferences and agricultural studies abroad.

In his youth, Jim had a passion for flat track motorcycle racing, at one point ranking second in the nation as an amateur racer. He later raced micro midgets at the Lemoore Raceway, where he eventually served as Track President. Among his many other achievements, Jim volunteered with the Kings County Fire Department (Station 6) and earned his private pilot's license.

In 1989, Jim met the love of his life, Raquel, and the two were married in 1992. They shared 33 wonderful years together in their home in Lemoore, raising three sons -Garrett, Jarred, and Jack. In recent years, their family grew to include two beloved daughters-in-law, Annemarie and Paige, and a cherished granddaughter, Lainey Lynn Crisp.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Jack Crisp, and his sister, Jaqueline Crisp. He is survived by his devoted wife, Raquel; his three sons, Garrett (Paige) of Exeter, Jarred (Annemarie) of Lemoore, and Jack; and his precious granddaughter, Lainey Lynn. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Rosie Crisp; his sister, Debbie (Gary) White of Hanford; and his many nieces and nephews-Chase, Kiera, and Jenna Searcy; Leland, Maureen, and Matthew Lacey; Trista and Jace White-and numerous great-nieces and nephews

Jim will be remembered for his hard work and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched and the family he built with pride and devotion.
