James was a long time IBEW Electrician. He was a master craftsman and shared his skills with everyone around him. Over the years he made friendships that went far beyond the work gates. After retirement he kept in contact with a great group of work buddies, that still get together regularly.
He also had an extensive network of found family and friends. Many of them have became irreplaceable in all of our lives. He was constantly circled in love and care in his final time. Sarah and Jim had a special father daughter relationship. She took exceptional care of Jim and Ellen during their final years. When Ellen got sick with cancer Sarah stepped up and helped in every way possible. Then shortly before Ellen passed Jim started getting sicker and needed even more help. So, Sarah stepped up again and became James full time care taker. She helped him on an everyday basis she would cook him breakfast every morning, kept his calendar, be sure his medication was taken daily and properly. She kept all of the household matters perfect. They got to share so many special moments. Sarah really made it so Jim and Ellen could live out their final days at home surrounded by family and those that love them. Sarah truly embodied the meaning of family.
James had a passion for youth sports specifically accessibility, he absolutely could not stand to see a kid left out simply because their family couldn’t afford it. so, In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite youth sports team or directly to the family to give to future athletes.
