James Edward "Eddie" Cruse age 83, of Rossville, Georgia went to be with The Lord Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Leslie Cruse and Mary Ann Oliver Cruse Walker. Eddie spent his childhood in Ooltewah, Tennessee and his adulthood residing in the Chattanooga and Rossville, Georgia areas. He was the former owner and operator of Cruse Construction Company, also owned and operated a Re-Sale Shop in Rossville, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith and had recently accepted Christ as his Savior. Eddie was an avid NASCAR Fan, especially for the number 3 car – Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed going to auctions, watching WWE Wrestling, Westerns, wheeling and dealing all the time. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Blanche Henrietta Peoples Cruse, son: Alan Cruse, step-daughter: Vickie Howard, sisters: Clara Cross, Geraldine Blanks, brothers: L. Gene Walker and Larry Walker. He is survived by his daughter: Lisa Poss of Stockbridge, GA, son: Tim (Angie) Cruse of Ringgold, GA, step-sons: Billy Howard of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Scott Howard of Florida, sisters: Margie (Paul) Newby, of Lookout Valley, TN, Lucy (William) Russell of Chattanooga, TN, Denise (Ron) Dye of Knoxville, TN, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm – Monday – November 24, 2025 graveside at Ooltewah Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Chasteen officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please make memorial donations to any local food bank. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes – Fort Oglethorpe Chapel, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
