James Curry Obituary

James "Jim" A. Curry, 77, of Greensburg, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. Jim was born on Jan. 13, 1949, in Madison. He was the son of the late Esta (Esther) and James Curry. Jim spent much of his professional career at PPG Industries. He was a faithful member of Centerline Church (formerly Armbrust Wesleyan Church) for over 50 years and served in various roles. Jim enjoyed attending the summer concerts in St. Clair Park in Greensburg with his wife, Vicky. Jim was also a member of the Westmoreland County Mall Walkers Club, where he received several awards for his walking achievements. Jim greatly enjoyed crossword puzzles in his free time and watching the Steelers and Pirates games. In addition to his loving wife, Vicky, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan Haynes; and brothers, Ed, Glenn, Clyde, and Ronald Curry. Jim is survived by his son, Brad Curry, of Huntington, WV; daughter, Mandy Curry, of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren, Maddox, Gabriel, Trevor, and Tanner; brother, Mel (Cathy) Curry; and sister, Joanne Robb. Special recognition to Sandy Blawas, who was honored to care for Jim, as her cousin Vicky had requested. Jim's sense of humor and respectful nature will be missed by all. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, in the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME, 101 S. Fourth St., Youngwood. Additional visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at Centerline Church, 7790 PA Route 819, Hunker. A service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Mack officiating. Interment will be held after in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
