JAMES E. DANIELS, SR., age 90, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025. James was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and dedicated his life to ministry. He was also a member of the Columbus Christian Holinesss Church, where he was an Assistant Pastor for many years and was involved in nursing home ministry. James was an incredible example of love, kindness and gratitude to us all. He was a loving husband and father to his family and cherished every moment with his children and grandchildren. He welcomed everybody that came through the door. James worked at Owens Illinois for 25 years, James believed that every person he met had value beyond measure. He showed love in every way he could, whether it was in a kind word or sharing the word of God.
He will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mildred Daniels; his daughter Edna Gail Cline, son Kelly Daniels, his father Wiley Daniels, and mother Hattie Daniels; and several brothers and sisters. James is survived by sons, Rexford (Daisy) Daniels, James (Sylvia) Daniels Jr., and Morris (Sherry) Daniels; daughters, Deborah (Greg) Kuhn, and Teresa (Robert) Alberts; brother, Harold David Daniels; grandchildren, Rachel Parsley, Jason Rhodes, Scott Morrison, Eddie Rhodes Jr., Jeff Rhodes, Tobi Daniels, Mandy Hicks, William Reynolds, Jesse Morrison, Chad Daniels, Rose, Ryan Daniels, Brandon Alberts, Zander Daniels, Nicholas Daniels; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at COOK & SON - PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave. where the service will follow, officiated by Pastor Brice Utt. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
