James Davis Obituary

JAMES ALAN (JAMES A./ JIM) DAVIS

James Alan Davis, born May 10th, 1933 passed away May 3rd, 2025

James was the son of James Arthur Davis and Myrtle (Coleman-Featherstone) Davis. He was born on a farm in Oakes North Dakota, along with 3 other siblings. He graduated from Oakes High School in 1951.

The day after graduation from high school, Jim joined the Air Force where he proudly served for 4 years.

After his enlistment, he returned to Oakes met his future wife Clara Anne Brademeyer.

Jim enrolled at NDSU College and received a B.S. in Soil Science.

Upon graduation he and Clara were married in 1959 and was offered a job with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Minneapolis. He would go on to spend his entire career working for the FDA.

After retirement from the FDA and a stint working for Coca Cola, Jim and Clara sold their Mercer Island home and moved to Ellensburg, Wa, where they lived for 20+ years. They became members of the Ellensburg Presbyterian Church where Jim served as an Elder.

Jim was also active in Search and Rescue and with Ham radio Club.

Jim is survived by his wife of 65 years Clara Anne (Brademeyer) Davis of Renton, WA

His daughters Pamela (Abel) Borromeo of Redmond, WA, Patricia (Erik) Berg of Renton, WA ,

his son Paul (Char) Davis of Seattle,WA

and 7 Grandchildren: Derek Borromeo, Brendan Borromeo

Memorial service at Ellensburg Presbyterian Church June 14th 1pm
