James Diffenderfer Obituary

He was born on September 14, 1945, in Rowan County. He received a bachelor's degree in engineering and went on to be an Engineer at Proctor Chemical Company. Jim was an avid gardener who loved to share his crops with local restaurants, especially La Cava Restaurant in Salisbury. He was an Army veteran who served in Nuclear Physics.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife Terry Fish Diffenderfer who he was married to for 53 years.
Jim has no living relatives, but was loved by all his neighbors, especially by Barbara Heim and Linda and Jim Adams.
A service will be held on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Following the service will be a meal at La Cava Restaurant at 329 S Church St, Salisbury, NC 28144.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of China Grove for Outreach Missions, 302 Patterson St, China Grove, NC 28023.

Also just learned of jim´s passing. I remember the days at rockwell elementary, east rowan high school and i believe nc state. Jim and i worked together at Collins $ Aikman Corporate R&D in Charlotte in 1990s. A very talented and smart man he was. Rest in Peace Jim.

I am so sorry that I missed Jim's obit. I am almost positive this has to be the Jim that we went to school with at ER class of '63. Jim was a positive happy soul and he was raised partly at Nazareth Children's home. I remember most his red hair and his smile. I rode the school bus with him to Rockwell Elementary and we graduated in '63 from ER.
