James Dorr

James "Jim" Dorr, 92, of Auburn, formerly of Farina, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
He was born October 11, 1931, in Farina, the son of Erwin and Edna (Kaul) Dorr. He married Margaret Leonard on August 30, 1952, and she preceded him in death on December 30, 2020.
Jim is survived by his sons: Kevin Dorr of Marquette, Michigan and Jeff Dorr and wife Marsha of Modesto, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; sister: Judy Graves of Clermont, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother: John Dorr.
In his life, Jim spent time as a member of the Community Club, Fire Dept, and City Clerk in New Berlin and a member of the Farina American Legion. He also enjoyed refereeing basketball games and umpiring baseball, but mostly he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina with Pastor Kevin Kriesel officiating. Burial will follow at the Farina Cemetery. The family invite you to gather with them at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Freidens United Church of Christ or the Farina American Legion and will be accepted at the service or the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home at 310 North Broadway/P.O.
