Elsie I know you are lost for now, when you get the time to go back and think about how you and James first started your journey together in this life and the many paths you walked together, let it bring you peace. He had a wonderful wife and family who took care of him and shared a lifetime with him. I know everyone in your family will have to walk this path in their own way. May you all find peace and know that someday you will all walk together again.
My sincere sympathies are with you and your family.

Our prayers are with you Mrs. Dudley and your family, I asked mom and Lisa what they remember most about Jim. Marge said, he was well liked by everyone who met him and he had a zest for life. Lisa remembered going mushrooming with Elsie and Jim and Mary, they had so much fun, but Lisa got car sick on the way home and felt so bad about it. Lisa said Mr. Dudley and family treated her so kind. Then it came to my memories and I have alot of them, this one was in the summer when you all lived on Jean st. I remember him loving family, friends a picnic table and and Hank Williams. If I close my eyes I can see him laughing with a gleem in his eye and I swear I hear Hank.

My dad loved to take adventures with his family...2 weeks out west (tons of memories!), 2 weeks rustic (I mean rustic!) camping every summer, smelt dipping, super long Sunday drives in the Winibago (really a bread truck he bought and my mom painted it turquise blue with house paint and a silver W like the winibago logo, silly and fun!), mushroom hunting, etc. My dad was a hard working tire man and a tough man who looked death in the face many times and survived...bad car accident almost took his life in the 60's, a stabbing, several truck tires expoded in his face, the grizzly bear incident while dad was looking for his "pretty stones", his road rage, and he always liked a good fight! My dad liked to sing to me..."she has freckles on her, but(t), she is pretty" and "good night Irene I'll see you in my dreams". I always thought my dad was ten feet tall, and I still do, I always admired my dad. We were always able to resolve our differences and accept each other for what we were, I knew he loved me and he knew I loved him. My dad liked to laugh and tease me a lot, especially with my shopping, even though I would justify that "it was on sale, dad" he would say wth his southern drawl "Irene, you're going broke saving money!" I love you, dad, for giving my children many memories of you and giving them special nicknames "Josh-u-way and Jessa-cator (Miles was high-Miler). I will truly miss the tough, vibrant, intelligent, funny, teasing, energetic man that raised me to be the person I am. His battle with alzheimers is over, I know he believed in God and last Thursday was a glorious day for him when he finally went home. Always in my thoughts forever and I love you forever dad!

I will always remeber my grandpa's chuckles and shouts when he got rowdy. He was always such a spirit to be around. The most hard working and a true model to be like. I'm proud to say Red Dudley is my grandpa. I love you Grandpa!

My grandpa will be missed by all for his energy he brought with him. I will always remember him as a rebel, doing what he wanted. He was strong to the last day and I will miss him.
