I met Jim at CBOE back in the early 80´s and he was always a kind and funny guy towards me to this day. He would always have time and a great smile and laugh when we would hang out during and after work. Nothing but fond memories. RIP Jim Duff

I remember growing up playing chess against Duff. I will miss these games. I'm having a son and when I teach him chess I will tell him about Duff.

We are so sorry for this big loss to Wendy, the Duff family, and the Christian family. We met Jim and Wendy many years ago at Christmas Eve in our hood and many times thereafter. Jim was always a great hugger! So positive and kind and a true Chicago sports fan! That spirit and kindness will be missed. Our hearts, prayers, and positive thoughts are with you all. I met Jim when I was a teenager working at the CBOE. He called me Tishy and I called him Duphur. Not sure why I would call him Duphur but that´s what it was. Truly can say, Duphur was one of the nicest persons I would know. He always was fun and had the best remarks for any occasion. He will be greatly missed. I did have the opportunity to see him and Wendy last summer up at my cottage in Twin Lakes, we had a wonderful time and he left me with a fantastic memory. He fought a good fight but his time is with his heavenly family now. Love ya Duff, my sincere condolences to his family, it was an honor and a pleasure to have known him Tishy

Jim was such a great friend when we were young. I thought he was one of the sweetest men I ever met. I'm sad. Condolence to Kathy and the rest of the family.
