Death Notice

James David Dycus III

1997 - 2023

James David Dycus III, fondly known as Jay, was born on October 29, 1997, in Houston, Texas, to proud parents James David Dycus Jr and Christie Lynn Dycus. He departed from this world on December 17, 2023. Jay brought boundless joy and laughter to those around him with his infectious humor and mischievous pranks. A true lover, giver, and fighter, Jay's heart was as vast as his smile. Though often stubborn, he possessed a remarkable capacity for forgiveness.
An individual with a flair for elegance, Jay was undeniably boujee, always ensuring he looked his best. His love for delectable cuisine was a testament to his appreciation for the finer things in life. However, his greatest treasures were the moments spent with cherished family and friends.
Jay's laughter had the magical ability to illuminate any room, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. He will be dearly missed.
Jay is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Dycus Sr, and his Poppies, Graden Lee Cole. He is survived by his loving parents, James Dycus Jr and Christie Dycus, his sister Madison Dycus, and brothers Josh Cole and Seth McAda. Jay is also remembered by his grandmothers, Patricia Robbins, and Neva Hess, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and friends.
May his laughter continue to echo in our hearts, and may the memories of his vibrant spirit bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
Jay leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, as he donated his liver to someone in Texas, his heart to someone in Tennessee, and his Lungs to someone in Virginia.
The visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Friday, December 22nd at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life service will be at 12:30 PM, Saturday, December 23rd, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
