James Howard Eberhart Jr.

James Howard Eberhart Jr., age 70 of Winchester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 6, 2026, Highpoint Health Winchester. He was born on November 18, 1955, in Highland, IL, to the late James Howard and Darlene Mae (Kuhn) Eberhart Sr. James currently worked with his son as a forklift driver. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed duck hunting and fishing at Reel Foot Lake. He had a creative mind and worked with his hands making fishing lures and other fishing tackles. James will be remembered by his family and friends as having a great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Karen Eberhart. James is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Vickie Eberhart; children, Melissa Eberhart, Jimmy (Kayla) Eberhart, Travis (Tori) Eberhart, and Tyler Eberhart; step-daughter, Tracy (Chris) Kline; grandchildren, Zane (Kelsey) Aud, Mazey Aud, Tristan Holt, Emilee Sanders, Conner Eberhart, Sophia Eberhart, Alexandria Eberhart, Weston Eberhart, Maxton Eberhart, Prestyn Eberhart, Ridge Eberhart, Abby Nelle Eberhart, and Marleaux Kline; great-grandchildren, Easton and Stevie Aud, Greyson, Ezekiel and Nyah Holt; and Khalil Sanders; siblings, Richard Eberhart, Dori Eberhart, Linda Eberhart, David Eberhart, and Dawn Garner; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 12:00pm – 3:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 3:00pm from the chapel.
