James Ekema Obituary
James Allen Ekema, age 69, passed away October 17, 2023. Born December 27, 1953 in Hayfield MN at the family farm to his parents Rev. John Peter Ekema and Sarah Ekema. Dear brother of Kenneth (Jolene) Ekema, David (Anne) Ekema, Phillip (Lisa) Ekema and Verlyn (Barb) Mol. Cherished uncle of his 4 nieces and 6 nephews.
Jim's family moved to Michigan during his elementary school years, then to Iowa where he attended Sioux Center High school and Northwestern College. He then lived and worked in Alabama until finally settling for the last seven years in Wadsworth, Ohio.
Jim Loved the Lord and witnessed frequently through his music. He blessed many people with his love and talent playing the piano whenever he could.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the care of the A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
