James Christopher Eldridge passed away on March 8, 2026. A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, Chris will be remembered for his quiet strength, generosity, and kindness.
His professional life was dedicated to serving others and creating a better world for all of us. Those who knew Chris valued his thoughtful presence, his ability to make others feel genuinely seen and valued, and his love of rock and roll.
He was an avid student of history and believed that learning from the past was the surest way to ensure we don’t repeat it.
Chris is survived by his spouse, Isa, his daughters Alison, Jillian, Isabel, and Emily, four grandchildren, his sister, Judith, and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Family services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to support bone marrow transplant research and patient care at Moffitt Cancer Center: fundraise.moffitt.org/https-fundraise-moffitt-org-Eldridge. Alternatively, you can honor his memory by playing The Rolling Stones at the loudest volume you can stand.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
