Obituary of James Eller
James Tracy Eller, 47, passed away at home on Thursday, August 31, 2023. The loving husband of Leslie Owens-Eller. James was born to the late William Clyde Eller Sr. and Polly Profitt Eller on December 30, 1975, in Versailles, Kentucky. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking in the woods, and playing cards. James has been a carpenter since he was 17 years old and one of his greatest achievements was his business Eller Carpentry, but above all he loved his dogs and his family.
In addition to his loving wife, Leslie Owens-Eller, he is survived by his stepmother Gretchen Eller; daughter Kimberly James (Justin) Eller-Stapp of Versailles; his sons, Joseph Alan (Lauren) Sayre of Evans, GA, and Matthew Trey (Alexus) Sayre of Lexington; sister, Melisa Ann Eller of Richmond; brothers, Richard Lee Eller of Lexington and brother-in-law, Robert Daniel (Sarah) Owens of Versailles; grandchildren, Theodore Joseph Sayre, Zion Ka'mel Young Zailey Nova Sayre and Emmy Kathryn Stapp; nephews Lewis Merryman, Jackson Owens, Ben Sott, Cory Walton, Zack Whattenbarger, and Willie Eller; nieces Lillie Eller, Ashley Hacker, and Holly Long and several great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brother William Clyde Eller II and nephew Matt Eller.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill Ave. Versailles at 7:30pm. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 5:00pm until the time of service on Friday, at the funeral home.

I want to send my condolences to James and his family. He will truly be missed, I've known and worked with Leslie for over 5 yrs now and I couldn't find a kinder person. She has a heart of gold and will do anything for anybody. We are always here for you Leslie, we love you here at BAF. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life. We love you!
