James Harold Engelberger, lovingly known as Jim, passed away surrounded by love and family. He was born on October 9, 1943, and lived a life marked by devotion, integrity, and quiet strength.
Jim was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Anita, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage — a true testament to enduring love and partnership. He was a proud and loving father to his two children, Theresa and David, who were the joy of his life. He leaves behind a descendancy of supporting spouses, along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His legacy of faith, family, and memories will live on and be remembered as a life well lived.
Jim was deeply loved by all who knew him. His life was guided by a strong love for God and a deep commitment to following Jesus, which shaped the way he lived, loved, and cared for others.
He had a passion for the water and found great happiness sailing and ice boating, where he felt most at peace. Known for his ever-present “to-do” lists, Jim had a way of staying organized and purposeful, always planning his next project or adventure.
Jim will be remembered for his dedication to family, his steady presence, and the many lives he touched through kindness, reliability, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and memories of a life well lived.
