James Faiella Obituary

James A. Faiella

James A. Faiella, 92, of North Road, Hopkinton, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was the husband of the late Helen (Davis) Faiella.

Born in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late James V. and Anna Faiella.

An alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and a graduate student of Yale University, James was employed as a research scientist for Pfizer for many years until his retirement. Following his retirement, Jamo did a great deal of volunteer work for the Westerly Chorus which included working at The Blue Mitten Consignment Shop. He was an avid reader, an enormous sports

fan and an accomplished cook. James was a US Army veteran who served in Greenland.

He leaves behind two children, Deborah A. Murphy of Stonington, CT, and Chrissy Faiella and partner Stanley, of Suffield, CT; a sister Jean Pisano of East Haven, CT; two grandchildren, Allison and Kate Murphy; and niece Roberta. Jamo was predeceased by his brother Raymond.

Visiting hours are omitted. Funeral service and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com.

I´m so very sorry to learn of Jim´s passing. He was such a great guy! I think of him every time the UConn men´s or women´s basketball teams win! My deepest condolences to his family.
