James B Fall JR

James B. Fall, Jr. (Major USAF Retired), age 96, went home to be with the Lord, November 14, 2025. He was born June 26, 1929 in La Veta, CO. Baptized in a little country church. Jamie was born to fly. He went on to serve as an aircraft mechanic in the USAAF and later graduated from Aviation Cadets (Class 51-A) to serve as an officer and pilot in the Korean War, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross as an Air Rescue pilot. Retiring from the USAF in 1967, Jim went back to his roots in the Midwest, purchasing a farm in Buffalo, MO (1968). Farming held him only until 1971, when he followed his Air Force friend, Virgil Gibson, to Palm Springs, CA. Jim purchased Freeway Transmissions in Banning, CA and operated it with his son Kenneth until 2003. He was a long serving member of the Gideons. He served as a deacon and elder in many local churches, and continued to support evangelical work to the end. He is survived by his wife Betty, who has been by his side faithfully since 1953. James was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Leonard. He is survived by his wife Betty, his brother David, and his sister Joyce. He is also survived by his sons James L. Fall (Banning, CA) and Kenneth Fall (Banning, CA), and by his daughter Patricia Ma (Tokyo, Japan), by his grandchildren Sarah (Fall) Hernandez, Joshua Fall, Samuel Fall, Aileen Ma, and Evan Ma.
