James Luther Foraker was born on June 8, 1932, to James Luther Foraker and Mabel Eloise (Cutsinger) Foraker, both of whom were born in Oklahoma.

James was a father of four children: Michael Foraker of Wichita, Kansas; Craig Foraker (Connie) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; Lynnae Bryant (Lyle) of Ellinwood, Kansas; and Shannon Royer (Eric) of Otis, Kansas.

He was a grandfather to Kevin Foraker (son of Craig), Erik Warnken and Traci Brackbill (children of Lynnae), and Elizabeth Douglas (daughter of Shannon). His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Austin (son of Patrick); Mason, Nathaniel, Lily, and Elizabeth (children of Kevin); Terrance and Neil (sons of Erik); Kaiden (child of Traci); and Collin and Logan (children of Elizabeth).

James is survived by his brother, Harold (Hal) K. Foraker of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister Patricia Ann Foraker; his half-siblings Herman O. Foraker, Geraldine (Jerry) Hayes, Susie (Foraker) Low, Paul Foraker, and Jackie Foraker; and his beloved grandson Patrick Foraker (son of Craig).

There were three half siblings from Father James Luther Foraker marriage to Eva Foraker: Harold O. Foraker (deceased), Geraldine (Jerry) Foraker Hayes (deceased), and E. Jean Tobeler of Nevada.

There are nine half-sisters and three half-brothers from his father James Luther Foraker married to Elsie Pearl Foraker, I have been able to find the names of all but one half-brother. His half-brothers include Tommy Joe Foraker of Longville, Louisiana, and Paul Wade Foraker (deceased). His half-sisters are Rosemary Foraker of Lincoln, Nebraska; Betty Henson, Kathy Foraker, Retta Woodard, Minnie Foraker, Tina Foraker, and Joyce Foraker, all of DeRidder, Louisiana; Florence Barber of Longville, Louisiana; and Susie (Foraker) Low (deceased).

James Luther Foraker will be remembered for his enduring love of family and the many lives he touched. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
