James R. Foreman, 86, of Bethel, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital-Lebanon.
He was the husband of Marlene A. (Bressler) Foreman. They were married on June 29, 1957 and celebrated almost 68 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster County on November 9, 1938, he was a son of the late Daniel E. and Sarah E. (Rutt) Foreman.
James was a graduate of Bethel High School in 1956. He was a member of the Myerstown Church of the Brethren. James enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most importantly spending time with his family.
James was employed in the parts and sales department of Lebanon Valley Implement Company in Richland for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by three daughters, Joanne F. Bogan, of Palmyra, Dorene L. Boyer and her significant other Andy of Moneta, VA, and Yvonne J. Foreman, of Lebanon; a son, Leonard J. Foreman and his significant other Patricia of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Steven Bogan, Robert Bogan, Hilary Bogan, Katy Boyer, Benjamin Boyer and three great-grandchildren, Cameron Bogan, Lilyani Bogan and Amelia Bogan; two sisters, Ruth Meyer, of Bethel; Linda Zimmerman, of Richland; as well as several nieces and nephews. James was pre-deceased by his brothers, LaVerne and Gerald.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 AM-12:00 noon followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 31, 2025, all to be held at the Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stoever Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park-Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Myerstown Church of the Brethren at the above stated address.
