James "Jim" Russell Funk, 75, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at home, surrounded by the loving care of his sister.
Jim was born on January 25, 1950, in La Porte, IN, to Russell and Helen (Kanney) Funk.
Surviving Jim are his sister, Elizabeth Funk of La Porte; beloved bird, Charlie; and cherished dogs, Marley, Gus, and Clara. `
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jim was a Purdue University graduate and later worked for the State Highway Dept. for many years. He was a member of the Greater La Porte County USBC and enjoyed bowling.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Pine Lake Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center, 2855 IN-2, La Porte, IN 46350.
