Known by most as "Plato", James Gilbeault, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the age of 73. He is survived by his sister, Dawn.
Plato was born in Green Bay, WI, June 9, 1950. Plato had a lifelong passion for art and he loved to use his talents by making leather masks. Plato lived in New Orleans in the French Quarter for 35 years where he was able to live out his dreams of selling his beloved masks.
He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and loved ones. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Lyle and Marcella and two brothers, Jerry and Jack.
The visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Friday, May 3, 2024 from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM. All friends and family are welcome.
