Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to learn through the bridge grapevine of the passing of my dear bridge partner. Since moving to Texas, Jim's frequent e-mails kept me informed until about a year ago. Jim was as a good of a friend as he was a bridge partner. I have many fond memories and much good advice from Jim that will reamin precious to me throughout me life.

Jim was a good friend for many years. We first became friends in Tallahassee where we attended church together and played several years on the "Saints" softball team. Most recently I have gotten reports on Jim through his brother Jack---as Jack's son attended Harding University where I now work. May God bless all the family, who will no doubt miss him the most.

And Jim to you---scout out the best softball program in heaven and save me a place on the team. We will all see you soon.

We were classmates, played ball & ran track together and shared a lot of fond memories. Goodbye old

Our visits with JIm and Trish were always a pleasure, such special friends. Jim was a wonderful person and before departing this world he told Paul that he wanted to make sure everything was taken care of for his Trish. Trish if there is anything you need do not hesitate to call Paul or myself. We are deeply sorry for your loss and thankful you have the wonderful memories. May God Bless You.

It's so sad to realize you are gone---not another phone call or email, not another get-together, not another exchange of ideas (often contradictory), no more laughs or cries over sentimental family stories (the Grapette.) We'll miss you tremendously.

Much love to you, Trish, and we'll see you soon.

Dr. Goodwin was an insightful, inspiring mentor whose lessons in the classroom and out I am grateful to have received. His profoundly positive impact on my life and the lives of others like me will continue to resonate and ripple across the lives of many. My deepest condolences at your loss.

Jim was always a very independent man - very exciting and lots of fun to be with. The family will miss him so much. We love you Trisha and know you've always taken good care of Jim.

Jim had an exuberance and fascination with life that was a spectacle in itself. His insights into both humor and contradiction were constantly entertaining....and at times amazing.

Jim was the oldest of us cousins, the big boy of the family. He always had a ready smile; I thought of him as a soft-hearted fellow beneath an assertive style. I hate that he's gone without one more family reunion.

As his younger brother, I looked up to him my entire life. I will miss him deeply.
