James Louis "Jimmie" Goudeau, 81 years old and a United States Marine Corps Veteran, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at his home in Hammond, Louisiana. He was born February 1, 1933. Mr. Goudeau leaves behind his beloved daughter, Carey Goudeau Cournoyer; 2 sons, Allen Goudeau and daughter-in-law, Gwen, and John B. Goudeau; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Patrick "Pat" Goudeau and sister-in-law, Jo Marie Fedele Goudeau; 4 sisters, Clare Tallo, Marie Felder, Catherine Smith, Eloise Anderson and brother-in-law, Gordon Anderson; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Mr. Goudeau in death is his father, Louis Pierre Goudeau; mother, Ora Bankston Goudeau; his twin sons, Daniel and Michael Goudeau; and beloved wife, Johnny Lou Hinson Goudeau. Jimmie was a fun loving person who kept up with his many friends by telephone for as long as he was able. He loved telling jokes and funny stories. His favorite saying was, "My name is Jimmie, I'll take all you can gimme!" Jimmie donated his body to science. A memorial service will be planned at a later date with interment in Holly Gardens Cemetery in Hammond. Contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Goudeau to the Genesis Donor Program, Medical Education & Research Institute, 44 South Cleveland, Memphis, TN 38104.
