James Preston Graham

James Preston Graham, 74, of Crab Orchard, departed his earthly home on Thursday, December 14, after battling a long illness.  Born June 30, 1949, in Stotesbury, to the late Tracy and Dona Keffer Graham and raised in Crab Orchard with his seven siblings.  
Jimmy was preceded in death by both parents, his stepfather, Raymond Keesee, brothers William “Bill”, Eugene, and his Irish twin, Danny Ray Graham.  He was a proud Marine, retired coal miner of 37 years, husband, daddy and pawpaw/poppy/paw.  Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann “Bob”, of 53 years, daughters Malisa (Matt) Schors of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Christy Sue (Jimmy) Mitchell, of Beckley.  Grandchildren include honorary grandson, Robbie Runion, Sidney “Little Bit” Graham, and Delaney “Cuddles” Mitchell, his best buddy.  Jimmy had two other very close friends, with whom he shared coffee and the front porch, his neighbor, Carl O’Hara, and his furry friend, BoBo.  Surviving family includes Fred (Erma) Graham, Sue Graham, Carol (Bo) Childs, Mary Meadows, Teresa (Danny) Pettry, and a host of neices, nephews and in-laws.  The family would like to thank Dr. Suresh Thomas and Lisa Walker, APRN, for providing excellent medical care.    Services at Calfee Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 20, with Bishop Clarence Edward Lee officiating.   Family at 11:00 am, friends at 12:00 pm and services at 1:00 pm. Burial at Sunset Memorial Park immediately following.  Friends and family serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, the family would ask for donations to be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
