James "Jim" Joseph Gramann, Jr., a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on March 25, 2026, in Warren, Michigan, at the age of 73. Born in Flint, Michigan, on September 5, 1952, Jim was a man whose life was characterized by the depth of his relationships, love and generosity.

Jim's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. He was the cherished husband of Theresa Gramann (nee Martini-Vitale), with whom he shared a life filled with joy and mutual support. As a devoted father, Jim leaves behind a legacy of wisdom and care in his son, Michael Rachel) Gramann, and as a thoughtful step-father to Renee (David) Roberts and Carla Vitale. His role as a grandfather to Nathanial "Nathan" Gramann and Jeremy Gramann was filled with pride and the kind of playful spirit that only the best grandfathers possess.

Jim was a beloved brother to Rick (Barb) Gramann and Jean (Robert) Galbraith. His role as an uncle to Kelly Blair, Greg (Helenea) Gramann, Mary (Ryan) Harris, Bob (Helmi) Galbraith, and John Galbraith was marked by laughter, guidance, and unconditional love. As a great uncle, his joy expanded to envelop Will Blair, Vaughn Gramann, and Lira Gramann. Jim was preceded in death by his caring parents, James and Clementine (nee Hovastadt) Gramann, who instilled in him the values of faith and family that he carried throughout his life.

Visitation for Jim will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 3pm to 8pm and Monday, March 30, 2026 from 2pm to 8pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, located at 13650 Fifteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights. He will lie in state on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 10am until the time of a Funeral Service at 10:30am at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, located at 22360 Thirteen Mile Road in St. Clair Shores.

As we say goodbye to James "Jim" Joseph Gramann, Jr., we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart generously shared. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his influence will live on in the acts of kindness he performed and the love he spread. Jim was a blessing to his family, a steadfast friend, and a true gentleman whose presence will be profoundly missed but whose spirit will always remain in the hearts of those he touched.
