James Warren "Jim" Gray

James "Jim" Warren Gray, age 82, of Hendersonville, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Mission Hospital, Memorial Campus in Asheville. Born on June 26, 1941, in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late James Warren Gray, Sr. and Eleanor Parsons Gray.
Jim was a hard-working individual who took pride in his work ethic. He worked in Retail Management and Nuclear Medicine, which included WT Grant, Roses, and GammaRx. Jim served the Lord with dedication and faithfulness as a Deacon Emeritus and as an Adult Sunday school teacher at Main Street Baptist Church of which he was an active member for 48 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family.
In addition to his parents, James Warren Gray, Sr., and Eleanor Parsons Gray, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Anne Gray. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Jean Terry Gray; his children, Steven Gray (Lisa), Jennifer Allen (Brian), and Timothy Gray (Cleo); grandchildren, Tyler, Quino, Ryder, Rylee, and Ryker; his sister, Janice Hodgson; much loved family friend Anne Craig; and his special canine buddy, Emmett.
Funeral Services will honor his life at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 14, 2024, at Main Street Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. John Mason and the Reverend Dr. Victor Rampey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Main Street Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice. Forest Lawn Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
