Breaux Bridge- A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, 1:30 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for James Ray Guidry, Sr., 65, who passed away on March 20, 2025.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate the memorial service.
James was born on December 4, 1959 in Lafayette. He was a proud machinist, dedicating many years of his life building engines. He was known for his work ethic and commitment to excellence in his craft. Beyond his professional life, James had a passion for drag racing, a love that he nurtured from an early age and carried throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Bonin Guidry; sons, James Ray Guidry, Jr., Justin (Marissa) Guidry, Ryan (Meagan) Bonin and Ross (Molly) Guidry; grandchildren, Jasmyn Guidry, Parker Smith, Hayden Guidry, Hudson Guidry, Emma Bonin, Quinn Bonin, Stella Bonin, Reagan Guidry and Wyatt Guidry; brother, Robert "Bobby" (Scott) Guidry; sister, Sandra (Jimmy) Miller.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Earline Prejean Guidry; and one sister, Linda Breaux.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
