James Edmond Guthrie II

James Edmond Guthrie II, 19, passed away February 20, 2026. He was born July 12, 2006 in Oklahoma City, OK to James "Jim" and Janice (Parks) Guthrie. He had a great work ethic and held employment at Taco Bell, Crest and FedEx. He was recently accepted into Job Corps where he was to obtain a career in carpentry.

As a child, James was always fun and polite, and genuinely had a good heart. As he grew older, he developed a deep love for the outdoors and felt most at peace while skate boarding with friends, camping and hiking-especially at Sharon's Forest in Lawton, OK.

James was intellectual by nature and always had a book nearby. He had a creative spirit and a curious mind. He loved discussing politics and staying engaged with what was happening in the world. Music was another passion of his; he enjoyed playing the guitar and drums and expressing himself in that way.

James is survived by his parents; Mema, P.J. Parks; siblings, Britni Mills, Alise Pine, Lee Losawyer, Kyle Keeble and Stephan Keeble; nephews, Chase Rose and Brayden Pine; nieces, Trinity Wright, Caitlyn Scott, Brylee Pine, Remington Pine and Dakota Pine; great-niece, Katori Rose; and great-nephew, Cameron Rose.

James was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family and friends.
