I grew up in the house next to Jim and his family, but I never knew half the things about him that I learned from his obituary. He and Bee were wonderful neighbors and great friends to my parents as they watched their children grow. I remember Jim smiling and always saying hello whenever he saw us next door, often coming over for a quick chat before heading off. It was an honor to be his neighbor and I will never forget him. My Mom was trying to live to be 100, but she didn't quite make it (she was 94 when she passed, still in her Marshall house after 64 years.) My heartfelt condolences go out to his family. I'm sure his passing will leave a large empty spot in their lives.

My father, Eph Thomas, was the service manager at Leduc Motor Company for many years, working with Jim. Both my parents were close friends of Ed and Mattie Leduc and Jim and Bea Hapgood. Our families socialized, as well as being members of St. Francis Episcopal Church. I remember Bud (as my dad called him) as a charming, compassionate man. Had I known sooner of his funeral, I would have attended. God bless Jim, his memory is a blessing to me.

Jim was an amazing person as well as his wife, Bee. He was a good friend of my uncle, Paul Snider. I always saw Jim at InShape. Great to talk too and always a fun person. Know he had a nice long life too! RIP dear Jim.
