It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of James Eric Hendrix, age 51, who passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in Iron City, TN. He was born on June 27, 1973, in Florence, AL, Eric was the son of James Rolland and Wanda Lou Brewer Hendrix.

Eric's passion for his work shone in his role as a commercial painter, where he transformed spaces with his skillful artistry. Beyond his professional life, he was member of the Bethel Berry Church of Christ, finding strength and community. In moments of leisure, Eric found joy in art and drawing, expressing himself through his creativity. 

Eric will be remembered not only for his talents but also for his kind-hearted spirit and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the memories we hold dear. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all.

He is survived by his parents, James Rolland and Wanda Lou Brewer Hendrix; aunts, Sherry Holloway, Jane McDow, Betty Brewer, and Rene McIntear; and uncles, Jerry Hendrix, Johnny Richard Brewer, and Jordan B. Brewer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Monday, December 2, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Jerry Cambell officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
