James Patrick Henry

James Patrick Henry "Mr. Wonderful" passed away peacefully on July 28, 2023, at his daughter's residence in Exton PA., surrounded by his loving family. He was 87. James was married to his loving wife of 51 years, Elizabeth (Manger) Henry, who passed away in 2007. He was an Electrician in the Union Local 98. He loved his Philly sports, especially the Eagles. He was very kind. He loved his home in Wayne. He lived his life to the fullest. He traveled the world with his loving wife, Betty. He went skydiving at his 70th & 80th birthdays, hot air ballooning, whitewater rafting, boating in a cavern and attended all of his grandchildren's sporting events. His last really fun event was attending the Bruce Springsteen Concert at Penn State College on 3/18/23, where he sang and danced for three hours.
He was born October 3, 1935. James was a son of Thomas P. and Marion (Muth)
Henry.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Stephen S. Henry (Kathleen A.) of Phoenixville, PA., and Kevin M. Henry (Kathryn T.) of Audubon, PA; 2 daughters, Colleen A. Lang (Scott R.) of Exton, PA., and Kelly A. Barrow (Douglas G.) of Hatfield, PA; 10 grandchildren: Sean, Brian (Michelle), Kerry (Kyle), Justin, Eric, Devin, Cassidy, Kristen, Mikayla, and Kolby; his great-grandchild Owen, and many other loving family members. James is preceded in death by his sisters: Rosemary Britt and Geraldine Reynolds, and his brother, Thomas Henry.
Relatives and friends are invited to James' viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 9:00-10:15 am, with a funeral mass starting at 10:30 am. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James's name to The
Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
