James Warren Herbold, Jr., 76, of Allentown, passed away on March 6, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Kline) Herbold and they would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this June. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late James W. Herbold, Sr. and Alice (Hauser) Herbold.

James proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he was employed as a machinist at U.S. Gauge for 32 years until his retirement. He attended Foundation Reformed Church, Coopersburg, and he volunteered for Wreaths Across America. He was a Sunday School teacher, a youth group leader, and Christian Service Brigade leader. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. James was a devout Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan as well as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Iron Pigs.

Survivors: Wife; Son, Jeff Herbold; Daughter, Jamie Bittner and her husband, Troy; Grandchildren, Austin and Amber; Great-Grandchildren, Anthony and Jensen; Sister, Susan Hartman and her husband, Terry. James was predeceased by his infant son, Christopher.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 13, 2026 at Foundation Reformed Church, 234 S. Main Street, Coopersburg, PA 18036. A calling hour will be held from 10-11 AM Friday in the church. Arrangements by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Emmaus, www.BKRFH.com
