James Allen Hilbert born on 5/2/66 passed away rather suddenly on 12/20/25. He was known as Al or Tumbleweed. He got the nickname from his crew while he fought wild fires for the US Forest Service. He is no longer suffering and is in the arms of Jesus. He lived a simple life, enjoyed the outdoors, was intrigued by how things work, always willing to lend a hand. He was adopted by our dad when he was 12. He leaves behind 2 half sisters Rachel Kissinger and Bonnie Gardner, his father Everett Hilbert, 4 nephews Nicholas Nolan, Hayden Nolan, Aaron Gardner and Andrew Gardner as well as 2 grand nephews. He will be laid to rest in the Chester Cemetery in Chester, CA. A service will be held in late May of 2026. Contact the family if you are interested in attending.
