It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Keen Hooge, a devoted husband, esteemed military officer, and cherished member of the Boerne community. Born on August 14, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, James answered the call of duty with honor and courage as a distinguished veteran of the United States Air Force. He exemplified the values of service, dedication, and integrity throughout his life.
James leaves behind his beloved wife, AnneMarie Hooge, whose steadfast love and support sustained him through life's Journey and his children, Laura Katherine and James Philip who are strong in faith from his example. His legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him, as he demonstrated unwavering kindness, compassion, and loyalty. Finally, the Lewy Body Rollercoaster Community, which supported and nurtured him in the final years.
In reflection of James's life and his commitment to family, faith, and country, a series of solemn and respectful ceremonies will be held in his honor. The family will welcome loved ones for a viewing at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on October 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by a Rosary at 11:30 AM. A Mass will then be celebrated at 12:00 PM, where friends and family will gather to commemorate his life and the impact he made on those around him.
A graveside service will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery #1 in Pleasanton at 2:00 PM.
In this time of sorrow, we invite all those who knew and loved James to come together to celebrate his remarkable life and to share in the memories that will forever be cherished. May he rest in eternal peace.
James was preceded in death by: His Parents, Donald Hooge, Queenie Hooge and his brother William Hooge.
