James Marshall "Jamie" Huling

Jamie was born into the music-loving family of Donald J Huling and Glenellen (Lindy) M Huling, along with sisters Donalyn H Bratton and Vickyle H Payton. Growing up in LaSalle, he played guitar and sang in local bands and performed in Mr. M's choir and musicals. He enjoyed camping and became an Eagle Scout. In his twenties, he left for Austin, Texas to work in building construction of major tech facilities like IBM. He married and became the proud Dad of his son, Jesse Ferril Huling. In the late 80s, country music and a construction boom beckoned him to Nashville to put down roots and make it home. Jamie was a singer-songwriter, professional woodworker, avid reader, active in his church, and shared his witty sense of humor and compassion with friends and strangers.
