James Porter Jayroe

James was born on July 3, 1932 and passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016. James was a resident of Walterboro, South Carolina at the time of his passing. He attended the old Oak Grove Elementary School and Andrews High School. He was a United States Army Veteran. He served in the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. A Christian Service will be 1:00PM Saturday July 16 2016 at Sampit United Methodist Church 1077 Saints Delight Road Georgetown SC directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel Cooper Chaplain for Veterans Victory House. Viewing will be prior to the Christian Service at 12:30PM in the church sanctuary. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
