James “Jim” Wesley Davis, 78, of Siler City, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Jim was born May 6th, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Wade and Katherine Cook Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wade “Butch” Davis, Jr. and Robert “Bobby” William Davis.
Jim was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and loved his church family. He retired from Bristol Myers as a safety coordinator and trainer. Jim also served in the United States Army.
Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dolores Catlette Davis of the home; daughter, Jennifer; son, Charles Clayton Davis; four grandchildren, Destiny Davis Folk, Angel Davis, Brooklyn Elmore, and Ashton Elmore; his brother, Michael J. Davis; and his sister, Jeanette Carter.
Funeral service will be Monday, October 7th, 2024, at 2 PM, at Fellowship Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Services will be officiated by Reverend Jason Golden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 120 Fellowship Church Rd. Siler City, NC 27344.
Smith & Buckner funeral home will be assisting the Davis family.
