James “Jim” Vaughn Kotch passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on January 1, 1961, Jim was the father of Tiffany Crump, father-in-law to Leon Crump, and the brother of Rhonda Dempsey, Saundra Lubben, and Vincent Kotch. He was also dearly loved by his uncle, Danny Webber, who held a special place in his life. Jim was a grandfather to Brianna White, Tahlia Orozco, Jade Orozco, Braylen Crump, and Tayven Crump, and a great-grandfather to Grant Schumacher.
Jim had a lifelong interest in cars and took great joy in hunting for good deals, antiques, and unique finds. He never turned down a long drive, especially if it came with good company and conversation. His sense of humor was unforgettable, always ready with a joke, a story, or even a notorious wet willy to get a laugh.
Above all, Jim shared a strong bond with his dog and loyal companion, Miku, his best friend who brought him steady comfort and joy.
Though life brought its challenges, Jim’s story is remembered through the moments he shared, the things he loved, and the family and friends who knew him.
