James (Jim) Alan Leslie was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on October 26, 1950, to John and Mary Jo Leslie. He joined older brother, John, and sister, Melinda, to complete the family.
Jim grew up in Fort Worth, exploring in the woods with neighborhood friends and playing with his BB gun. In his late teens, he began working for Glidden Paints and later became a top salesman, store manager, and coating expert.
Jim married Wendy Wilson in 1972.They were married for 18 years and had two sons, Chad and Nathan.
Jim and I met at a Single's Sunday School party, that he hosted, for First Methodist in Fort Worth. Within 2 weeks of our first date, we knew that it was God's plan we marry. We were happily married for 33 1/2 years. Because we were older when we married, we never had children of our own. Jim introduced me to the joys of owning dogs, and the dogs became our children.
Jim was a man who had many interests. He lived a life full of the things he loved like surfing the internet, ordering from Amazon, the open road on his motorcycles, the quiet ripple of a fishing line, and the wagging of the tails of our terriers. He was a man who stayed update for a good mystery and always made sure there was enough fudge or carrot cake to go around.
First and foremost, Jim was a Christian, a Patriot, and tenderhearted man. He was an adoring husband, father, and grandfather who leaves behind a family that will miss his talents and his kind spirit.
