JAMES FELTON JOHNSON was born on February 5,
1937, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to the late Huit Johnson and the
late Emma Lewis Johnson.

He received his education in the public school of Randolph County, Georgia.
James was a fireman for more than 16 years. He worked as a
public works worker for Randolph County for more than 15
years after his firefighter career. He loved the outdoors and
spent much of his time fishing and hunting until his health
failed. James loved and cared for his family deeply. He enjoyed
family gatherings and spending time with all his family and
friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Huit
Johnson; and sisters, Dollie Mae Adams and Annie Bell Bass.
James passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the age of
88, leaving a void that can never be refilled.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Felton (Liz)
Johnson, James Johnson, Calvin (Kiesha) Green, Janice (Curtis)
Taylor, and Monica Burnett; twenty-one grandchildren and
over twenty great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene (Priscilla)
Johnson, Stella Clark, and Georgia (Freddie) Starling; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends. All
will miss him dearly.
