JAMES KEATHLEY Obituary

JAMES "WAYNE" KEATHLEY 12/20/1946 - 11/28/2025 James "Wayne" Keathley, 78, of Ovilla, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2025, of natural causes. Born on December 20, 1946, Wayne grew up in Conway, Arkansas, the beloved son of James and Ruby Keathley. An only child, he learned early the value of loyalty, humor, and hard worktraits that stayed with him throughout his life. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long career in sales within the moving van lines industry. Known for his quick wit and easy-going nature, he had a way of making people feel at ease. Though he enjoyed the relationships his work brought, he often said his greatest accomplishment was raising two children he deeply loved. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverlee, the love of his life. Wayne delighted in doting on her and surprising her with thoughtful giftssmall acts that revealed the tenderness beneath his playful personality. He is survived by his children Michelle and Joseph Logan, and Christian and Heidi Keathley; his grandchildren Candice and her husband, Joey; and Graham, Griffin, and Eden Keathley; as well as his great-grandchildren, Liam and Lilli Charles. To his family, Wayne will always be remembered as a joker, a bit mischievous, and the owner of a signature line "Kiss This" that never failed to spark laughter. Wayne leaves behind a legacy of humor, warmth, and quiet devotion to the people he loved most.
