James Joseph Kellerhouse on November 7, 2025 went to meet our lord and savior. Surrounded around his loving family Kyle, Brian, Amber, Devin McGee and his wife of 66 Years Paula Kellerhouse.

James Joseph Kellerhouse, a veteran and long-time resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on November 7, 2025, surrounded by family. He was 85. Jim, as he was known by everyone, was born on September 6, 1940, in Hudson, New York, to William Lincoln and Mary Rogers Kellerhouse. A proud veteran, Jim served in the United States Air Force for 4 years in Plattsburgh, New York and Guam. Jim was proud to serve his country and upon completion of his service he came home and married his wife of 66 years, Paula G. Folmsbee.

While spending his early years and young adult life in Hudson, Jim became an avid hunter, fisherman and swimmer. His favorite time to hunt and fish was winter time, but he loved to swim across the Hudson River to the Catskills, when it wasn't too cold, and spend the day hunting and fishing before heading home with his catch for his mom to prepare.

Jim spent his career working in the cement industry. He started with Atlas Clement in Hudson, NY, as a shipping foreman, from there he went on to work at Virginia Lime Company in Virginia as their plant manager and finally went on to work and retire from Lehigh Portland Cement. At Lehigh he was the shipping foreman for the largest shipping operation serving the East Coast from Maine to Florida.

After retiring Jim and his lovely wife moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He has lived here for the past 14 years. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 17, where he served as the First Vice President for 2 years before serving as the Chaplain for the past 12 years. He was a member of and also served in the gift shop of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in New Smyrna Beach for 12 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his father William Lincoln Kellerhouse, his mother Mary Rogers Kellerhouse, his half-brother William Kellerhouse and his half-sister Gloria Kellerhouse. He is survived by his wife Paula, half brother Robert Sereikis, his son Jeffrey (Paula), son Timothy, and daughter Kyle McGee (Brian), as well as 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

His family has organized a viewing at Baldwin Brothers 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach, Fl. 32169 on Tuesday November 18, 2025 between 1-3. Then a memorial service to honor Jim's life and military service, which will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea 4000 S Atlantic Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169 on November 19 ,2025 at 11:30.
