James Alan Kessler, beloved brother, son, and friend, passed away suddenly on September 23, 2025,
at the age of 69. He was born on May 2, 1956, in Baltimore, MD, and throughout his life James filled the
lives of those around him with warmth, kindness, and laughter.

James was known for his generous spirit and his deep love for family and friends. A lifelong reader, he
took great pride in his vast personal library, which he was always happy to share. He was also a loyal
fan of the Ravens and Orioles, enjoying countless games and celebrations with his family. James loved
traveling-especially cruising-and was always eagerly planning his next adventure. He will be
remembered for the joy he brought to everyday moments through his humor, his stories, and his
steady, comforting presence.

He is survived by his loving family: Nancy and Don Bradley; John Kessler; Michael and Reece Kessler;
Tom and Annette Kessler; Joan and Jim Waller; and Patty and Pete Notaro, along with 25 nieces and
nephews and 17 great-nieces and great-nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, John
and Dorothy Kessler, and his sister, Susan Kessler. His memory will be cherished forever by all who
were fortunate enough to know him.

A graveside service to celebrate James's life will be held on Monday, September 29, at 11:30 a.m. at
Oaklawn Cemetery, followed by a celebration of his life at Squire Café in Dundalk.
James's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the importance of treasuring life's simple
moments. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
