Mr. James Boyd “Jimmy” King, age 71
Of Waverly, TN passed away Monday, January 27, 2025, at Humphreys County Nursing Home. He was born March 8, 1953, in Waverly, TN and James and Madge King.
In the realm of business, Jimmy took on the mantle of co-owner at Waverly Lumber Company after his father’s retirement, continuing the legacy of hard work and dedication that had been established in their family since 1952. His commitment to the company reflected his deep roots in the community, where he was respected not just for his business acumen but also for his integrity and compassion towards others. As a prominent figure in Waverly, he made significant contributions not only as a businessman but also as a devoted member of the Waverly Church of Christ.
Jimmy King leaves behind a legacy characterized by love, community involvement, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and he will be remembered fondly for the impactful life he led.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00pm Saturday, February 1st and from 1:30pm until service time Sunday, February 2nd at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mr. King will be conducted at 3:00pm Sunday, February 2, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Keele officiating.
Interment will follow in Wyly Cemetery.
