My Dad's greatest contributions to my life are the things he taught me. One of my earliest memories is of reciting the counting numbers from 1 to 100 with Dad at bedtime when I still slept in a crib. When he took me with him to work at the bowling centers in Brigham City or Tremonton, he explained to me what the fractions meant on the freeway signs. He taught me how to make two-egg omelets with hash browns and English muffins. He taught me about bagels and cream cheese long before bagels became fashionable. I inherited my love of cooking from him, and of course, my love of bowling. I recently went bowling with my brother and some friends after not having picked up a ball in over two years. I couldn't help but feel a strong connection to Dad as my body got reacquainted with bowling motion. Bowling was yet another thing he taught me. So much of who I am and what I love comes from him that his memory will always be a part of me.

Having known Jim for 40+ years I can say that he was truly a dear friend and life mentor. Throughout my career he was always there to help me succeed but more importantly made time to visit, listen and chat about life experiences. Jim was a no BS kinda guy, he called it like he saw it...you didn't ask for his advice unless you were prepared to hear the truth. If there is a bowling center in heaven, trust that Jim will be "back of the house" taking care of business...Rest in Peace friend!
