Not sure what to say?

Dear Vida, I sadly learned of Jim's passing today from Marquette Magazine. I met Jim on my first day as a freshman at Maquette and spent two years a few doors down the hall from him. He was a wonderful person. Even as a highly acclaimed athlete he was down to earth and very much a gentleman and true friend to all. You were fortunate to have had him in your life for so long and should cherish your fond memories.

I remember him in Columbia and always having a smile. Sending condolences.

Dear Vida,
Lost track of you over many past years, but I heard about Jim's passing from my sister (still in San Diego) through her friend Ann Bramble, and I am deeply saddened. Gratefully, my mind is still fluid, so the memories of our times together are still fresh. My deepest sympathy is with you and your family for the loss of your quite exceptional Jim. I wish you comfort and wellness in all the days ahead. Love, Paula

DEAR VIDA,

With high regard & admiration for you & for JIM - & his many substantive role model contributions to community & his compassionate approach to patient care & to life in general.

JIM truly made a positive difference throughout his impactful life.

With fond memories of our MU years - including as Sorority Sisters of CHI SIGMA CHI, fellow MU cheerleaders, eventual
fellow elementary school teachers, & fellow histories...

Googled Jim after our new knee and hip and was shocked to see his obituary come up. Heartbreaking. So many good memories of those few years on Kobe Dr. Always remember him tossing his Navy had in the garbage truck. We send our sympathy and know you'll find peace in your memories, faith and family.

Vida, Brian, Amy, Chris, and extended Langenkamp Family- I was a UW Medical School classmate of Jim´s (`73), and can´t claim to be his best friend, though I certainly remember him with fondness. He always had a smile on his face, spoke a kind word to others, and we all enjoyed his company. Reading his obituary made me realize how much I missed by losing touch with him and Vida after graduation. Still, the good news is this: his wonderful legacy did not surprise me. He was, indeed, a very good...

Vida and family, I am so sorry to hear of Jim´s passing . Strangely ..I had a dream about him recently and he was seeing patients again in my dream. I thought it odd and googled his name and found he had passed. He was a fine example of how people should treat one another. I´m glad our paths crossed.Hugs to all of you. Kathy

Just found out of his passing with my husband's 2nd hip replacement this week. Dr. J did my husband's 1st replacement and a rotator cuff surgery. He was such an amazing Dr. and person. Our thoughts and prayers are with all your family during this most difficult time.

Dear Vida, I was so saddened to hear of Jim´s death and wanted to reach out. I worked at Pine Crest as the nurse when Gordon and Elizabeth resided there...Gordon, as you may remember was one of my favorites! Your family was so kind and Jim was such a devoted son to Gordon. I remember he gave me his personal number at work to contact him if I should ever have questions about Gordon. I can only imagine the great loss you must be experiencing. You two were such a great couple driving up in your...
