James Patrick Langenohl died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025.
Jim was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Milwaukee to Charles and Cecilia Langenohl. He was a truck driver for over thirty years without a single accident. Jim was a lifelong Packer and Notre Dame fan, always watching sports in his chair. He was an inventor like Thomas Edison, whose twelve hundred ideas didn’t work.
He loved his family and friends, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Jean; his children, Jennifer (John) Buda, Bill (Denise) Ross, and Joe (Lori) Ross; grandchildren, Mason Ross, Dylan Ross, Zoe Buda, and Eve Buda; sisters-in-law, Doris Nerdahl and Joan Langenohl; and many other nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cecilia; and his siblings, Don Langenohl, Bob Langenohl, and Bernice Setnicar.
The service will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 S. 116th St., Franklin) on Friday, December 12, 2025. Visitation will be from 10-11:45 a.m., and Mass will be at noon with burial to follow in St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.
