I remember the first time i heard Jim play - at the old Barnside in Norwell. He filled in while the band was on break - this had to be circa 1985. I was so blown away with his singing and playing that i made sure i found out who he was, and i played an outdoor concert in Plymouth with Jim and Dave Jackson and other friends in 1987. We practiced for this almost a year, and i am so grateful for that time we all had together. I had never been around a musician as accomplished and gifted as Jim was - he became an expert on the dobro in 2 days! I am so grateful to Dave Jackson that he pulled us all together for this very special time. I will never forget. May God bless you in Spirit, dear friend.
