I worked with Jim for a couple years as service electrician on Jim's production line at GM. Jim had such a dry and suttle sense of humor which provided many laughs and good times. He was a genuine nice guy who never spoke ill of anyone. I'm blessed to have known him.

What a loss! My sincerest sympathy to Jim's family. I was lucky to have worked with Jim once in awhile at 36th Street on E-line and GG-1. He was such a kind and friendly person, a hard worker, quick to laugh and slow to criticize, and a true family man. So sad now, but so glad to have known him.

When i had to work with Jim it was a good day! I am deeply saddened by his passing, rest in peace Jim!

Celeste and Christopher--Our thoughts and prayers are with you both at this time. Surround yourself with all the good memories, then Jim will be forever in your hearts.

Jim was a great friend. He was kind easy going and easy to be around. Some of the most exciting times of my life were spent with him. Either being left in his dust on a mountain biking trail or hiking down a trail together at 12,000 feet. His passion for adventure was contagious.
Celeste and Christopher my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow.
R.I.P. Sherpa Jimmy!! I'll miss you

Jim was one of a kind. A very unique and caring person. We were in the same tool and die apprentice group. Our love for nature brought us together on a few trips. A winter backpack trip to sleeping bear dunes, a winter kayak trip down the Muskegon and a canoe trip down the little Muskegon. He is great canoeist! We always wanted to watch a November storm hit the Pictured Rocks lake shore. Now I know where I will be going for a November storm. Jim was a ton of fun to be with and to listen to his adventures. I met Christopher after one of our classes. Jim came walking in with Chris on his back like a backpack. It was hilarious. Chris was his life. I would see Chris again usually whenever I would see Jim. Chris is a hoot. One story for Celeste. We had a coed softball tourney for our work picnic. We would ask Jim to play knowing we would get Celeste to play with us. She is a good player! Jim was a good athlete to. He would smash a golf ball along way. Jim was a good friend. I will miss him daily. I am heartbroken for his family. I pray for your peace.

Offering my deepest sympathy. May every sunrise hold more promise, every moonrise hold more peace. May God's word strengthen your family to endure times like this.. Jeremiah. 29:11, 12. God says "For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,' thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope. And you will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."

I transferred from the Kalamazoo, General Motors plant to the Grand Rapids plant in 1995 . It was my great fortune that I was assigned to work on E line, where I met Jim. He made me feel welcome, and a great friendship was born. He made my next 11 years at the plant enjoyable. I considered him one of my best friends. Jim always talked about his son, Christopher and his wife, Celeste, they meant the world to him. Jim and I would spend many hours discussing the Lions and Tigers. He once carved a totem pole for his son .... This piqued my interest in carving, which I still enjoy .... I will miss my good friend .. R.i.p. JIMBO ........ Love ya buddy , BIG KEN
